Leader: Tom Waldron
Narrative: Join Steve and Tom for a weekend of paddling on the Columbia. We’ll be paddling Friday - Sunday, 5/31 – 6/2/24 and camping at Vista Park in Skamokawa. Sign-up for whichever paddle fits your schedule or better yet, do all three. Everyone makes their own arrangements if camping. These paddles are individual OOPS trips, not an OOPS event.

The Hunting Islands are part of the Julia Butler Hansen Wildlife Refuge. Starting from Vista Park in Skamokawa, we’ll paddle along the west coast of Price Island; then follow the WA coastline until we reach Elochoman Slough. The slough will take us down the east side of Hunting Islands to the southernmost tip where we’ll stop for lunch. On the return we’ll paddle along the west side of Hunting Islands to the WA coastline, then through the channel behind Price Island to Vista Park. Mileage is approximately 10 nm.

We'll meet at the Vista Park Boat launch. Bring Wheels if camping. There is a $5.00 launch fee at the park. Restrooms are available.
